Everyone likes to have good, clean-tasting drinking water. But where can you find the best in New York State?
That’s just what the Long Island Water Conference was trying to find out this week at Farmingdale State University—or at least where the best drinking water on Long Island is. Once winners from Nassau and Suffolk Counties are determined, they will face off—and that winner will begin to compete with other regions of the state.
So how do Long Island’s chances look? And when will we find out who will win?

At least you soon could be, if you’re driving through the village of Kings Point—and, police say, you may have already been captured with the test camera they’ve had up for the past 18 months. They say the cameras will be placed at the 19 intersections that serve as the entrances and exits for the village.
But some argue this could be a violation of privacy rights—what do residents think?
